As a Risk and Compliance Specialist, you will play an important role and will have the opportunity to develop strong relationships with our Legal Department, business professionals and trusted advisors while also building substantive knowledge that adds critical value to VHB. This position will work in support of VHB's Deputy General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer on a wide range of matters.This role is based in Watertown, MA but is flexible with remote options for well-qualified candidates, with a preference for the East Coast where VHB is concentrated.Responsibilities:Report to and collaborate with the Deputy General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer on all risk and compliance mattersServe as the primary liaison with People & Culture employees and prepare content for internal roundtablesSupport the management of claims and litigationAssist with continuously furthering components of VHB's Compliance & Ethics ProgramAssist in the drafting of policies, training, reports and messaging and providing legal research supportAssist in the further development of VHB Legal and Compliance infrastructureAssist with completion of legal and compliance data for Requests for Proposals and Qualifications, insurance applications and the gathering and organization of legal and compliance dataParticipate in office, regional and company-wide training effortsAssist in furthering VHB's Enterprise Risk Management efforts and analysis of VHB internal surveysQualifications:Requirement of Bachelor's degreeRequirement of JD (preferred) or Paralegal experience/certificationMinimum of 5 years of experience in legal fieldExcellent communication, writing, analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsTravel as needed. This position reports into VHB's Watertown, Massachusetts office.The estimated hiring salary range for this position in Massachusetts is $95,000-$115,000. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.Our people make the difference.
