Receptionist Position

Carotek, a SunSource company, provides process equipment solutions for the industrial, commercial and municipal markets in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Virginia. Carotek represents over 85 manufacturers as their process equipment distributor, representative, and repair center for pumps, blowers, heat exchangers, valves, instrumentation, IIoT, steam, hydronics and municipal products.

We are actively looking for a dedicated Receptionist to handle client-facing duties as well as general office tasks. When our visitors walk into our office, we want them to find a friendly, smiling face and a helping hand. The ideal candidate has excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

Within established procedures, you will perform a variety of administrative support functions to greet, assist and provide direction and information to our customers, visitors, other guests and co-workers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet clients, visitors, and guests as they arrive and direct or escort them to the appropriate party.
• Answer, screen, and direct phone calls to staff and take messages or transfer calls to voicemail.
• Receive mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and deliver or distribute items.
• Perform administrative and clerical support tasks.
• Perform basic filing and recordkeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Be at work on time, if not a little early.

Education and Experience:

• Associates degree in Business (other major disciplines with relevant work experience will be considered)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk. Full time, in office, 8:00am-5:00pm with an hour lunch break.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
