Activity Aide

The Avenue at Brooklyn is a post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing care facility offering a distinctive experience not commonly found in traditional care settings. We're looking for a compassionate and creative Activities Assistant to help enrich the lives of our residents through engaging programs and events. If you enjoy working with seniors and making a meaningful impact, we'd love to meet you!

Job Duties:

• Assist in planning and leading individual and group activities
• Organize and maintain activity supplies
• Document resident participation and support Resident Council meetings
• Coordinate evening/weekend events and community programs
• Conduct room visits and personalized activities
• Ensure safety and infection control during sessions
• Collaborate with staff, families, and service providers

Qualifications:

• Experience in activities programming or long-term care preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Creative and adaptable to various resident needs
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented
• Able to move throughout the facility and interact with residents empathetically
