Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Incident Management in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to situations as they arise. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and public-sector personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals, vehicles, and deliveries in accordance with site policies and applicable procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and daily activity documentation, and communicate relevant security-related information to supervisors and authorized site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Possess a DD214 with an honorable discharge, an associate degree, 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
