Portable Plant Manager

Application Instructions Apply Online Position Description Summary
- Directly supervises and directs duties of hourly maintenance employee(s) and any subcontractors necessary to facilitate the repairs and maintenance of all plant and equipment necessary for the operation of the business unit. Directly works with and assists management with the operation of the business.
- Assists management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered. Helps coordinate purchases and procures raw materials for production and incorporates into the production schedule.
- Assists with planning and production activities and helps establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operational cost factors.
- Assists with the Coordination of production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
- Assists in the review and analysis of production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.
- Assists in the development and implementation of operating methods and procedures designed to reduce and/or eliminate operating problems and improve product quality of the product.
- Assists with production schedule revisions and priorities as result of equipment failure or operational issues.
- Consults with engineering personnel relative to maintenance and modification of machines and equipment in order to improve the production and quality of products.
- Assists with the scheduling of purchases and procurement of raw material used in the production process in timely and cost effective manner, insuring adequate supplies.
- Assists in the scheduling of delivery of product when necessary using company trucks as well as outside trucks.
- Has a thorough understanding of mix designs, gradations, and the equipment requirements for the product to be produced in order to insure quality control.
- Directly supervises and directs work of hourly maintenance and subcontractors needed to complete repairs of plant and equipment.As needed, supervises Truck Drivers, Equipment Operators, and Mixer Drivers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; training employees; planning, assigning, and directing employees work; appraising employee and operational performance; purchasing and procurement of raw materials in adequate quantities to insure continued operational production; directs employees to perform their assigned duties in a manner that insures the safety and health of the employees; directly works with and assists management with the operation of the business.

- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Current Drives License
- Class B CDL required; Class A CDL Required
- MVR - 3 year history with less than 6 points
