Hematologist/Oncologist

We are seeking a skilled Hematologist/Oncologist Physician for a 50-day assignment in California. The role requires a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, with an occasional call schedule of one week per month, including ER call during office hours. This physician will be responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations, formulating diagnoses, developing and managing individualized treatment plans, overseeing Beacon infusion orders, providing ongoing patient monitoring, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team. Practice Info EMR: Epic Setting: Primarily clinic-based with call responsibilities Call Schedule: Out of House Call, one week per month Patients per day: 12–15 patients per day (100% adult; roughly 40% hematology and 60% oncology) Staffing Mix: Multidisciplinary team members Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations for new oncology patients Assess patient history, labs, imaging, and pathology to formulate accurate diagnoses Develop and manage individualized treatment plans based on evidence‑based care Enter and manage Beacon infusion orders, including updates and modifications Provide ongoing monitoring through scheduled follow‑up visits Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care delivery Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record Compensation Strong compensation Benefits Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Shift & Schedule 50-day assignment Monday through Friday schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM Occasional call schedule of one week per month, including ER call during office hours Call Schedule: Out of House Call, one week per month LOA: 50 Days Qualifications Required Board Certifications: Hematology, Medical Oncology Other Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
