Travel PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Warren, Ohio

Schedule/Hours:

• 13-week travel assignment
• 12-hour night shifts

Desired Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered RN license (state or compact)
• BLS and ACLS (prior to patient care)
• NIHSS certification
• Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided)
• Minimum 1 year RN experience required; 6 months acute care preferred
• Neuro/stroke patient experience desirable
• EPIC EMR experience and critical care course a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessment, develop care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions in a 40-bed intermediate neuro/stroke unit
• Safely administer and titrate cardiac drips (intermediate care level)
• Coordinate multidisciplinary patient care and teaching
• Act as an advocate for patients and families-addressing psychosocial needs and ensuring a holistic approach
• Respond confidently to rapidly evolving patient conditions, using advanced clinical judgment
• Engage in department quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Uphold universal precautions and infection control standards
