Key Responsibilities: Construction Litigation & Defense:Manage and execute complex construction litigation lifecycles, executing high-quality research, legal writing, and oral advocacy. Contract Drafting & Negotiation:Structure, draft, and negotiate technical construction contracts, design agreements, and project management documentation. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR):Lead and support mediation, arbitration, and formal dispute resolution pathways on behalf of industry stakeholders. Risk Management Counseling:Provide data-driven legal advice, proactive contract reviews, and risk mitigation strategies to corporate clients. Required Qualifications: Core Experience Level:Minimum 5 to 9 years of dedicated Construction Law experience. Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Licensing:Active Bar Admission in good standing in either New York (NY) or New Jersey (NJ). Technical Legal Skills:Proven expertise in construction litigation, technical contract structuring, dispute resolution, and strong negotiation capabilities. Professional Alignment:Exceptional oral/written skills, strict adherence to deadlines, and a strong client-service orientation. Preferred Qualifications: Attorneys with deep, established construction law practice backgrounds. Former District Attorneys, Prosecutors, or Corporation Counsel looking to transition their heavy litigation and trial experience into the construction sector.
