This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the Grand Rapids plant on a full-time basis.The Role:The Occupational Health Registered Nurse is responsible for providing emergency care, first aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses within standing orders. This position works toward the prevention of illness & injury, protection from work related and environmental hazards, and promotion and restoration of health. Individual will maintain accurate medical records related to legal, regulatory and reporting requirements. Motivated to work independently.What You'll Do:Administers professional nursing care to sick and/or injured employeesPerforms and evaluates various clinical and diagnostic testsAssists plant physician in minor surgical proceduresInterviews and documents medical history of employeesWorks effectively with the Health Services team and other departmentsMaintains appropriate medical records to ensure quality and accuracyPerforms and documents physical examsAdheres to common practices and procedures throughout the departmentMaintains equipment and suppliesAssists with the promotion of plant wellness programsWorks with health services customers in a knowledgeable and professional mannerYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):Associate Degree in NursingValid state nursing license2+ years nursing experienceCertified in Healthcare Provider CPR/AEDProficient with electronic medical records and basic computer programs/softwareWhat Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):Bachelor's Degree in NursingER, ICU or Occupational Health experienceCertification as Occupational Health Nursing (COHN) or Occupational Health Nursing Specialist (COHN-S)This job is not eligible for relocation benefits.
