Endoscopy RN PRN Days

Location: Baylor Scott & White - Centennial (Frisco, TX) | Shift: PRN Day coverage. Two scheduled 8-hour shifts per month, Monday-Friday. Three call days per month, including one weekend day. Job Summary As a Procedural Registered Nurse, you will apply clinical judgment to oversee patient care, assess patients, identify nursing diagnoses, develop and adjust personalized care plans, and regularly evaluate patient responses. Your collaboration with patients, staff, and the healthcare system ensures safe navigation of care and prevents complications and delays. Essential Functions Use careful clinical judgement to assess patients, prioritize needs, and create or adjust care plans for improved outcomes. Monitor and evaluate indicators of quality and effectiveness, adjust practices as required, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Teach patients and staff, integrating education into care at all levels. Apply systems thinking, using strategies and resources to solve problems for patients, families, and staff. Contribute professionalism to nursing practice and the work environment, participate in decision making, and recognize others' contributions. Key Success Factors In-depth understanding of nursing practice and patient-care standards and procedures. Knowledge of legal, regulatory, and professional standards, including certifications and accreditation requirements. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Critical thinking ability for problem identification and solution. Continuously monitoring patients and efficiently communicating changes to staff and providers. Delivery of patient-centered care that honors diversity, following the nursing process and standards. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum two years of Endoscopy RN experience. Accredited nursing program graduate or minimum two years of nursing experience. Major focus or specialization in Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or obtain within 30 days of hire or transfer.
