Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and developing personalized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions independently or in collaboration with physicians (depending on your credentials)
• Guiding patients and families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and management techniques
• Prescribing treatments and medications in accordance with your scope of practice

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Licenses and Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Tennessee
• National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an applicable specialty equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
