Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Danville, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekend hours required every other week or as needed.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical unit. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care to individuals of all ages, ensuring their comfort and recovery. The nurse will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality medical care tailored to each patient's needs.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health and develop nursing care plans.
• Administer medication and monitor patient reactions.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health management and treatments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license to practice in Virginia.
• BLS certification required; HWC certification available on-site.
• Minimum of 1+ years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing, with 2+ years preferred.
