How you'll make an impact in this roleAs an APRN or PA with Ascension Seton Neurosurgery, you will evaluate neurosurgical emergency department patients, manage admitted neurosurgical patients in a hospital setting, and assist in neurosurgical cases in the operating room.
- Join an established team of 5 physicians and 13 APPs
- Practice setting: inpatient
- Employed position within a nonprofit health system
- Lead Comprehensive Care Delivery: Direct the treatment and long-term management of diverse health conditions, ensuring every patient receives a personalized and effective care plan.
- Empower Patients and Families: Translate medical jargon into actionable guidance, educating caregivers on treatment options and community resources to improve health literacy.

What minimum qualifications you'll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Physician Assistant credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Certified Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.
Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience preferred.
