Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Summary:

Provides specialized respiratory care to patients, including evaluation, treatment, and emergency response, in collaboration with medical staff. The therapist administers medications, performs diagnostic testing, and responds effectively to urgent situations to support patient stability and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and treat patients according to established protocols and clinical guidelines.
  
  
• 
  Deliver aerosolized medications and metered dose inhalers to patients as prescribed.
  
  
• 
  Respond promptly to rapid response calls, cardiac arrests, and STAT emergencies, maintaining airway management and performing life-saving procedures.
  
  
• 
  Set up and monitor oxygen therapy in accordance with protocol standards.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care activities accurately and maintain compliance with all safety regulations.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Have at least 2 years of current Respiratory Therapist experience.
  
  
• 
  Hold active RRT Certification through the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  
  
• 
  Possess a valid state license to practice respiratory therapy in Michigan.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills relevant to respiratory therapy with recent skills checklist documentation.
  
  
• 
  Provide two supervisory reference forms completed within the past two years.
