We would like someone who has a passion for discipling youth to believe in Christ as Lord and Savior and helping them grow in their faith, connecting with other believers and eventually going and making disciples themselves. Our leadership and congregation are very supportive of our ministry staff. Responsibilities Continue training our youth sponsors and volunteers Meet with students individually or in small groups for discipleship Lead a youth Sunday School class Oversee our children’s church program Lead an evening youth group Plan fellowship events and activities There may also be preaching opportunities available some Sundays, depending on how much the person enjoys preaching Compensation Total package: $54-64K Salary Range: $44-50k, commensurate with experience Health insurance stipend: up to $6,300 $4,000 business expense account Church Description Havana Church of Christ is a very loving, active and growing congregation of about 150 people, focused on making disciples of Jesus Christ. We are a multigenerational church that puts a priority on youth and families. Havana is a small town of about 3,000 people in central Illinois. We are an independent Christian Church based in the Restoration Movement. We firmly believe in the authority of God’s Word, in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ. We have an active high school and junior high youth group, and children’s church program with trained youth sponsors and volunteers. Our congregation also works with other Bible-believing churches in our community to help the needy, plan several community worship services and fellowship events.
