Cardiothoracic Intensivist

The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Service line at Northwell Health's South Shore University Hospital is seeking an experienced full-time Intensivist to join the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit team. Located on the south shore of Long Island, this rapidly growing 305-bed tertiary hospital performs hundreds of cardiac-related surgeries annually, including open procedures, transcatheter-based therapies, ECMO, and LV support. Practice Info Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ICU) 305-bed hospital with plans to potentially expand to over four hundred beds Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Intensive Care Unit is a 10-bed ICU unit with an additional 4 Stepdown beds Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery service line performs 600 cardiac related surgeries per year from open procedures, transcatheter based therapies, ECMO, and LV support for high-risk PCI Compensation Competitive salary Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity Benefits Benefits package Academic appointment with The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is commensurate with credentials and experience Shift & Schedule Full-time Qualifications Fellowship trained Board Certified in Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery Primary board certifications can include Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, or General Surgery Candidates graduating from their sub-specialty training will also be considered depending upon CTICU experience during fellowship training
