Facilities Maintenance Technician/HVAC ONSITE In Cheyenne, WY

Description

The Facilities Mechanic I is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical mechanical infrastructure. This role ensures reliable operation of HVAC, cooling, building automation, and facility systems supporting 24x7 operations.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical equipment.

Maintain and repair chillers, cooling towers, pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, air handling units, compressors, and related systems.

Monitor and operate Building Automation Systems (BAS), primarily Johnson Controls Metasys.

Troubleshoot facility mechanical and control system issues.

Respond to alarms, outages, and emergency maintenance situations.

Review system trends and operational data to optimize performance.

Complete work orders and maintenance documentation.

Support equipment installations, upgrades, and facility projects.

Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space, fall protection, and hot work requirements.

Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support activities as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required

High School Diploma or GED.

HVAC Trade School Certification, Journeyman HVAC/Pipefitter License, or equivalent experience.

4+ years of commercial, industrial, data center, or facilities maintenance experience.

Strong troubleshooting skills with HVAC and mechanical systems.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.

Experience using Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Valid Driver's License.

Preferred

Johnson Controls Metasys experience.

Data Center or Critical Facilities experience.

EPA 608 Certification.

NATE Certification.

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.

BACnet and DDC Controls experience.

Wyoming Limited Electrical Technician License.

This is a Contract position based out of Cheyenne, WY.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
