Overview Registered Nurse – Emergency Department travel assignment in Fort Defiance, Arizona. Start date 10/11/2026 for 16 weeks. Earn $2,470 to $2,562 per week with 36 guaranteed hours, on a 3x12 Flex shift in a short-term acute care hospital setting. The ED role rotates across multiple areas and may require flexibility to cover day shifts and other shifts as needed. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,470-$2,562 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 16 weeks Shift: 3x12 Flex Start date: 10/11/2026 Setting: Emergency Department in a short-term acute care hospital with rotating areas (Main ED, Fast Track, Observation) Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department across multiple areas (Main ED, Fast Track, Observation) with regular rotation. Perform triage, initial patient assessment, ongoing monitoring, and timely escalation of changes in patient condition per ER protocols. Administer medications, initiate IVs, assist with procedures, and manage patient safety and comfort in a high-volume ED. Support Covid-related tasks as needed, including testing and immunization clinics, in collaboration with the care team. Collaborate with physicians, social work, and ancillary staff to coordinate triage, treatment, discharge planning, and patient education. Document accurately in the electronic medical record and contribute to a safe, organized patient flow and efficient bed management.
