Position: Metal Finisher - 1st Shift
Location:Philadelphia, PA
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00 an hour

Are you someone who enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in precision and craftsmanship? We're actively seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Metal Finisher to join our 1st Shift team. This is a great opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment producing high-quality metal components while building your skills in metal finishing and fabrication.

Job Description:

In this role, you will operate grinding and finishing equipment to help produce high-quality metal products. You'll inspect finished pieces, maintain equipment, and ensure production standards are met while working in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate grinding machinery to remove excess material and smooth rough metal edges
• Inspect metal parts for defects, unfinished edges, and damaged areas
• Adjust machine settings to achieve proper finish quality and precision
• Evaluate, maintain, and replace grinding wheels and machine components as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production instructions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
• Store tools and materials properly
• Communicate with supervisors regarding production schedules and quality standards

Shift/Hours:

• 1st Shift
  Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience as a metal grinder, metal finisher, or similar role preferred
• Strong understanding of grinding machines and hand tools
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Excellent attention to detail and quality control
• Ability to lift and move heavy metal parts
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and following safety procedures
• Reliable and dependable attendance
