We are looking for an individual who has great attention to detail, organization skills and the ability to multitask to join our Logistics Intermodal team at our De Pere, WI corporate office! Intermodal logistic works with trucking companies to get the shipping containers to the rail, then with the railroads to get to the container to another location, then with a trucking company to deliver the load. This role will be part of our Logistics operations team executing the intermodal shipments for current and new customers. You will use your accuracy and attention to detail to help the team succeed.

How can you be successful in this role?

• Successfully split/build loads and set appointments for the logistics coordinator to cover customer loads with carriers.
• Review hourly yard checks and updating the CRM appropriately for accurate container management and reduction of container cost.
• Accurately update reports for container manager, tracking of loads and detention to reduce extra cost for PTI and the customers.
• Manage e-mail communication for the team for quick responses to continue to eliminate any barriers to delivery.
• Build positive relationships with carriers, customers, and PTI team for good customer service and meeting the expectation of load completion.
• Execute shipments at the load level through receiving orders, tendering those orders to the preferred carriers, and tracking the shipment through completion.
• Cover desk functions for coordinators to ensure the customer needs are met and the loads are delivered on time.

What job qualifications do you need to bring?

• Proficient in Microsoft products - Outlook, Excel, Word
• Ability to navigate through multiple computer systems
• Transportation background is preferred, but not required
• Strong attention to detail and follow through
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communicator
