Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, age-specific, and culturally appropriate patient and family care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Develop and adapt comprehensive plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
• Identify and respond to patient and family educational needs through individualized education plans, utilizing adult-learning theory.
• Serve as a patient and family advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding individual and family rights.
• Delegate and assign care to other healthcare team members within their scope of practice and competency.
• Communicate and coordinate with the healthcare team and ancillary staff to expedite patient progress and optimize workflow.

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Advanced or Intermediate certification (required).
• Minimum of three years of recent RN experience in an RN role.
• Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in a specialty area.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN EFM certification at the advanced level.
• Experience managing complex, high-risk clinical situations in a Labor and Delivery setting.
