Location: Avera St. Luke's Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays (United States) Pay Range: $33.50 - $48.50 per hour (actual rate depends on experience). Sign‑on bonus of $15,000 or $20,000 depending on experience; relocation bonus available. Responsibilities Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to the healthcare team. Coordinate with other healthcare providers and support patients, families, and friends with physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual care. Develop nursing care plans through patient history, examination, and documentation; set objectives and interventions and re‑evaluate as needed. Teach patients and families about condition, medications, and self‑care skills; answer questions and provide resources. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment in accordance with infection‑control policies and medication procedures. Document patient care and chart in departmental records. Maintain and troubleshoot patient care equipment, manage supplies, and perform preventive maintenance. Ensure compliance with legal regulations and organizational policies. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of practice, obtained upon hire. Must be able to work the specified hours and meet visual acuity and communication requirements. Ability to communicate effectively, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
