Mechanical Assembly Technician (Automotive Focus) | Pontiac, MI

Entech Staffing is looking for mechanically inclined individuals-especially those with an automotive background, shop experience, or hands-on wrenching skills-to join a growing team in Pontiac. If you're used to working with your hands, using air/power tools, and knowing the difference between torque specs, this is the job for you.

Whether you've worked in an auto repair shop, done custom vehicle builds, or have a year of solid mechanical assembly experience under your belt, your skills will translate directly to this role.

The Details

Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) | Monday - Friday
Availability: Must be open to occasional Saturdays
Pay: $17.50/hour

What You'll Be Doing

Building mechanical sub-assemblies and final products using blueprints, technical schematics, and shop drawings.
Utilizing hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and calibrated torque guns to build parts accurately.
Troubleshooting mechanical fitment/assembly issues and running quality checks on completed work.
Maintaining a safe, organized workspace and adhering to shop safety standards.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Mechanical Background: Experience in automotive repair, vehicle disassembly/assembly, aftermarket installation, or 1+ years of mechanical assembly experience.
Tool Proficiency: Comfortable using torque guns, impact tools, and hand tools with high precision.
Technical Mindset: Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
Reliability: Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and ready to contribute to a strong shop team.
Gear Required: Steel-toed boots.
