We're based in Charlotte's South End, a spot we like to call "The Craft District," and we're always looking for passionate folks who want to jump in, share their skills, and help us keep pushing craft beverages to new heights.The Bartender will prepare and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to guests and oversee the stock of liquor and bar supplies. As a Bartender, you will serve as the face of our brand in the taproom, engaging with guests to educate them about our products while delivering an outstanding hospitality experience. This role combines product knowledge with exceptional customer service to create memorable interactions that reflect the values and quality of our brand.Reports to: General Manager or Front of House Manager on dutyWhat You'll DoGreet guests timely as they are seated at the bar; ensure bar is clean and that coasters, utensils, napkins, and other needs have been providedPrepares and serves liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered from guests and waitstaffAccurately and efficiently enter food and beverage orders into the point-of-sale (POS) systemCollaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation and deliveryCompletion of all required bar prep, including but not limited to cutting fruit/garnish, making syrups, batching cocktails, etc.Maintains a clean, organized bar and ensures it is stocked with clean glasswareFollows all Alcohol Service laws and is mindful of safe alcohol service, including checking photo IDsProcesses guest payments by preparing checks and handling transactions through the POS systemCommunicate clearly and respectfully with guests, teammates, and managementChange, move, and organize kegs as neededAssist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and setting up the barAssist with other side work duties such as cleaning the dining area, preparing silverware and refilling condimentsPerforms other related duties as assignedWho We're Looking ForMust be at least 21 years of ageMust have a passion for hospitality and craft beveragesExcellent interpersonal skills and comfortability with discussing our products in detail with guestsStrong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentExperience with craft cocktails is desiredAbility to operate the point-of-sale system (POS)At least one year of related experience requiredProlonged periods standing and walkingMust be able to lift and carry at least 60 poundsAbility to perform physical tasks, including frequent bending, stooping and reachingArtisanal Brewing Ventures is an Equal Opportunity Employer
