Asset-Backed Finance Mid/Senior Level Associate Attorney – New York
Direct Counsel is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–7 years of experience to join a growing Asset-Backed Finance practice in New York. The ideal candidate will have experience with asset-backed finance transactions or asset-based lending and will have advised borrowers, lenders, issuers, underwriters, placement agents, and/or collateral managers on sophisticated structured finance offerings.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative practice that represents clients ranging from sophisticated financial institutions to first-time issuers and emerging companies and has played a key role in developing established securitization platforms.
Responsibilities
Advise borrowers, lenders, issuers, underwriters, placement agents, and/or collateral managers on structured finance transactions
Support all aspects of asset-backed finance and asset-based lending transactions
Assist with the development and implementation of sophisticated securitization platforms
Work on complex financing matters for financial institutions, issuers, startups, and other market participants
Requirements
3–7 years of relevant legal experience
Experience with asset-backed finance transactions or asset-based lending
Experience advising one or more of the following: borrowers, lenders, issuers, underwriters, placement agents, and/or collateral managers
Experience with structured finance offerings
Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills
J.D. from an accredited law school
Admission to the applicable state bar and good standing in the jurisdiction where hired
Compensation
The anticipated annual salary range is $260,000–$435,000 , with actual compensation based on experience and other relevant factors.
Location: New York. The position may also be based in another office location where the firm maintains an office, subject to applicable bar admission requirements.
