For more information on Leonardo DRS, please visit and for more information on our Commercial/Industrial business, please visit: What You Will Do * Live the DRS Quality Mission Statement: Establish a culture of innovation within DRS Quality teams championing the deployment of superior processes in lieu of traditional inspection activities and ensuring the delivery of continuously improving value and compliance to our customers and business units. * Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and programs to enforce quality standards and enhance product reliability. * Mentor and inspire a team of quality professionals to achieve excellence. * Lead internal Quality communication programs and processes to ensure leadership and company awareness of compliance issues, activities, and federal, state, and local regulatory activities that affect technical and quality compliance. * Lead APEX opportunities across the Quality function and LOB driving improvements in processes (e.g.: trending and tracking of errors, inspection findings, and internal audit results) to review and analyze data to determine if modifications or additions to the current QA program are necessary and creates recommendations to ensure organizational compliance. * Identify systematic problems and coordinate corrective actions, systems or process changes that will resolve problems and improve operations. * Bring all compliance issues to the attention of management; advise the VP/GM and the responsible head of the company's compliance status and system wide implications of any findings. * Lead and develop our Quality Management System (QMS). * Review status of quality management system, developing and implementing actions to improve. * Perform direct coordination with customer and suppliers during early planning phases of development and production programs. * Act as Lead Auditor and conduct internal company audits including management of corrective action process. * Manage budget and department expenses. * Develop and review quality assurance cost estimates in support of proposal efforts * Assist in the development and approval of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Education & Experience Requirements * Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a related technical field with a minimum of 7 years of experience * Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills * Passion for precision, safety, and operational excellence * Ability to lead effective corrective action using disciplined problem solving methods and statistical analysis * In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 Standards * ISO Lead Auditor experience desired; bcertification preferred Six Sigma Black Belt certification desired * ASQ certification desired U.S. Citizenship required.
