Description

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through standardized measures and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to encourage ongoing progress beyond session time.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring a seamless care experience.
• Keep precise and timely documentation consistent with local, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Remain updated on advancements within the field by pursuing continued education and engaging with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
