- Conduct comprehensive assessments of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients through standardized measures and observational methods.
- Create individualized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
- Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care strategies.
- Provide education to patients and their families to encourage ongoing progress beyond session time.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring a seamless care experience.
- Keep precise and timely documentation consistent with local, federal, and organizational regulations.
- Remain updated on advancements within the field by pursuing continued education and engaging with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not ASHA-certified.
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
- Expertise in evidence-informed treatment methods applicable to all ages, with a deep knowledge of both developmental and acquired disorders affecting speech, language, and swallowing.
- Exceptional interpersonal abilities to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to tailor therapy approaches to accommodate various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to guide clinical decisions.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate documentation practices.
