Full-time | On-site | Gold Beach, OR | Travel between locations may be required
Compensation Range: $129,376 - $163,696
Compensation is based on experience, with a range reflecting entry-level candidates through those with 15+ years of experience. Eligible positions may also qualify for additional compensation with applicable shift, weekend, certification, or other differentials.
Minimum Job Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Radiology Sciences required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in related field of expertise is required.
- At least three (3) years previous experience in a leadership role required.
- ARRT Radiography and Computed Tomography registration required.
- OBMI State of Oregon Radiography and Computed Tomography license
- Current AHA BLS required.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience in an acute patient care environment is required.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required.
- Must have the ability to successfully and positively interact with providers and employees at all levels throughout the organization and the public.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Must exhibit strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and must demonstrate the ability to analyze complex issues and make sound decisions in a timely manner.
- Must have the ability to perform exams in critical modalities (CT and Xray) independently and cover shifts/emergency standby as needed.
Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Senior Director of Ancillary Services, the Diagnostic Imaging Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Diagnostic Imaging Department in all locations, currently including Port Orford, Gold Beach and Brookings. Ensures compliance with patient care and quality standards as they relate to care provided to all patient age groups ranging from newborn to elderly. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Assures competency of all staff. Operates within the just culture framework with staff issues. Assists in formulating the budget for Radiology operations and leads efforts for achieving strategic goals. Maintains efficient and effective department operations while requiring compliance with all accrediting organizations including state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards, and protocols.
Essential Functions
Works with administration on planning, organizing, and directing Radiology operations to complete strategic goals in order to achieve the CHN vision.
Supervises and mentors Imaging staff through weekly one on one meetings and communicates to staff through purposeful rounding in the Radiology Department(s).
Monitors monthly volumes, utilization, financial, operational and quality metrics in Radiology and communicates variance data in a timely manner, when indicated.
Collaborates with healthcare providers and other department leaders to coordinate effective, efficient, safe, quality, equitable, patient-centered care. Promotes an environment conducive to providing the best quality service to all our customers.
Maintains regulatory requirements, including all federal, state, local regulations and accrediting organization standards related to the Radiology departments and, as appropriate, to each facility.
Collaborates with Managers to prepare department budgets for staff, operating expenses and capital equipment. Responsible for fiscal operation of the departments.
Supports and maintains a just culture of safety and quality.
Delegates authority and responsibility to the Imaging staff.
Takes emergency call/standby after normal operating hours and provides emergency coverage in critical modalities as required by the needs of the department.
