Diagnostic Medical Sonographer; Ultrasound Technologist (ARDMS) | Syracuse VA Medical Center | Full-Time | Kelly Government Solutions | Syracuse, NY (On-Site) Make a Difference for America's Veterans Kelly Government Solutions (KGS), a trusted partner supporting federal healthcare programs, is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to support the Syracuse VA Medical Center. This role offers the opportunity to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services while serving the nation's Veterans in a respected federal healthcare environment. Position Summary The Ultrasound Technologist will perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care, image quality, and compliance with department and VA standards. The selected candidate will work closely with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols. Prepare and educate patients regarding procedures. Position patients appropriately and optimize image quality. Perform abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and other ultrasound studies. Evaluate image quality and communicate findings to interpreting physicians as appropriate. Utilize PACS and electronic medical record systems for documentation and image management. Maintain infection control and patient safety standards. Perform equipment quality assurance checks and report equipment concerns. Document patient care activities accurately and completely. Qualifications Required Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification through ARDMS. Full, unrestricted license where applicable. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to successfully complete VA credentialing and background screening requirements. Preferred Three or more years of ultrasound experience in a hospital or acute care setting. Experience performing: Abdominal Ultrasound Renal Ultrasound Pelvic Ultrasound Aortic Imaging Vascular Ultrasound Procedures Small Parts and Soft Tissue Imaging Experience with Philips EPIQ 5 or EPIQ 7 ultrasound systems. Knowledge of PACS and digital imaging systems. Strong understanding of vascular and general ultrasound imaging techniques. Schedule Full-time position Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Occasional on-call, holiday, evening, or callback coverage may be required Compensation Pay Range: $40.24 - $53.79 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, and contract requirements.
