Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit Glens Falls, NY

Facility Setting: Hospital

Unit/Department: ICU/PCU

Shift: 06:45 AM-07:15 PM | Weekends: Every other weekend | Call: No call

Requirements:

• License: RN (Compact: Yes)
• Certs: BLS, ACLS
• Experience: Minimum 4 years nursing, 2.5 years Critical Care
• EMR: EPIC (CERNER preferred)
• Compliance: De-escalation training (Welle, CPI, or PMCS)
• Locals: Local caregivers (50 miles or less) considered at a $10 reduced rate
• RTO Policy: Facility can cancel up to 5 shifts per contract

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the ICU and PCU settings.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
• Document all patient interactions and care in the EPIC system.

• Facility staff assistance available seven days a week.
• Private patient rooms available.
• Flu vaccination required.
