NOW HIRING: Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist

South Tampa Immediate Care | Tampa, FL

South Tampa Immediate Care is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our back-office clinical team in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Schedule – Required

• Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
• 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
• Must be available for all three scheduled days.

Requirements

• Prior Medical Assistant experience REQUIRED
• MA certification preferred but NOT required
• Current BLS certification REQUIRED
• Proven experience with blood draws and injections REQUIRED
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including venipuncture
• Comfortable working independently in a busy clinical setting
• Excellent communication, organization, and patient care skills

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect laboratory specimens
• Administer injections as ordered by providers and permitted by Florida law
• Obtain and document vital signs and patient histories
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures
• Perform EKGs, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain clinical supplies
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
• Follow infection control, patient safety, and clinical protocols

We are looking for someone who is experienced and confident in their clinical skills , particularly phlebotomy and injections. The ideal candidate is reliable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a busy urgent care setting.
