Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position in Aberdeen, South Dakota. This role involves circulating surgery cases, preparing and pulling for procedures, and working within a variety of surgical specialties including general, OB/GYN, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, cardiovascular, and bariatrics. Candidates must be adaptable to float within the peri-operative department, which includes pre-op, post-op, outpatient services, and PACU. The position offers a dynamic environment requiring organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Details

• Shift Schedule: 8-hour shifts, with a call rotation involving 1-2 days per week, every 2nd to 4th weekend, and rotating holidays.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, Pyxis medication storage, and familiarity with surgical equipment such as arthroscopic pumps, cautery machines, laser devices, fracture tables, and C-arm X-ray.
• Additional Information: The unit comprises 4 operating rooms, 1 procedure room, 8 PACU bays, and 18 patient center rooms. Nurse to patient ratios are 1:1 in OR, 1:1-4 in patient center, and 2:1 in PACU. Orientation includes departmental and hospital-wide familiarization, equipment training, and workflow overview. Candidates must badge in and out at the facility. This position begins on 07/27/2026 and involves floating within the peri-operative department, including pre-op, post-op, outpatient services, and PACU.
