DEPUTY SHERIFF

Job Overview This is general duty police work, serving legal processes, maintaining order and providing for the care and security of prisoners at the Mobile County Metro Jail. Salary Annual salary range: $50,526 - $80,774. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from a standard senior high school or successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) exam. Preferably some corrections or law‑enforcement experience; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements. Special Requirements Valid driver’s license from state of residence. At least 21 years of age; no maximum age limit. May be required to have successfully completed the required minimum standards training necessary for recognition as a sworn law‑enforcement officer.
