We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician to support the operation and reliability of production equipment in our facility. This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of equipment, including conveyors, mixers, ovens, packaging machinery, refrigeration systems, and HVAC equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and eager to grow their maintenance career in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, hydraulic, and compressor systems.
• Respond quickly to equipment failures and production issues to restore operations.
• Perform equipment inspections and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality requirements while working in production areas.
• Utilize approved cleaning methods and food-grade materials when servicing equipment.
• Maintain spare parts and tool inventories to support maintenance activities.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety documentation.
• Complete work orders accurately and document maintenance activities in the maintenance management system.
• Work collaboratively with production personnel and fellow maintenance team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.
• Safely lift, move, and handle materials, equipment, and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 0-2 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, and safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and work-order entry.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 50 pounds.

Shift Options:

• Day Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (shift differential available)

This role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout a 12-hour shift in a fast-paced production environment. Apply Today

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
