Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)is adding an  Anatomic Pathologist to the group at  NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy.  The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with  SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University  and  NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine to maintain its high standards of healthcare delivery.

Opportunity Details:

\n

\n
• Sign-out of general anatomic pathology cases, including surgical pathology and both GYN and non-Gyn Cytology.
\n
• Intraoperative consultations.
\n
• Rapid on-site evaluation of FNA adequacy, renal biopsies, and biopsy touch preparations.
\n
• Review of abnormal hematology slides.
\n
• Participation in interdisciplinary conferences, including tumor boards and specialty-specific meetings.
\n
• Performance and sign-out of postmortem examinations.
\n
• Participation in departmental quality assurance activities.
\n
• Teaching of medical students and clinical residents.
\n
• Providing consultative input to referring physicians regarding lab findings.
\n
• Occasional night or weekend coverage for frozen sections may be required.

\n Qualifications: \n

\n

\n
• Board Eligibility and/or Certification in Anatomic or Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology
\n
• New York State Physician License
\n

\n

Wages and Benefits include: 

\n

Annual Base Salary: $270,000* (board eligible); $280,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. 

\n

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $392,520** (board eligible) and $403,520** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520. 
\n
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous years average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets. 
\n
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):  \n

  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. 
  \n
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. 
  \n
\n
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
\n
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.

• Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
