Make an impact as a part-time Special Education Teacher supporting high school students at an Alternative Learning Center near Andover, MN. This contract position focuses on providing academic and behavioral support within a blended/onsite environment, helping learners with diverse needs achieve their graduation goals over the course of the full school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and active Minnesota Special Education Teaching License (ABS, EBD, LD, or related endorsement)
• Previous experience working with high school students in special education settings preferred
• Ability to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with a collaborative approach to working alongside staff and families
• Proficiency in adapting instruction to meet individual student needs and support IEP goals

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction and interventions for students with a range of academic and behavioral needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with attention to diverse learning styles
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and district professionals to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and communication logs in compliance with district and state guidelines
• Participate in parent meetings, staff training, and problem-solving sessions as required
