Geotechnical Project Engineer

The person needs to be an effective leader and collaborator with an ability to manage a fleet of Soil/Concrete Technicians, Special Inspectors, and Laboratory staff.ResponsibilitiesManages special inspectors and technician staffManages projects (bridges, roadway, schools, and commercial) and associated geotechnical budgetsPrepares and reviews inspection and observation reports submitted to various agencies and other clients.Strong knowledge of soils and foundation characterization and engineering.Plans, assigns, prioritizes, evaluates, and reviews the work of special inspectors and technicians, and support staff for consistency, accuracy, timeliness, conformance to guidelines, and technical merit.Oversees the preparation and submission of timely reports and maintenance of recordsDevelops, implements, and interprets policies, procedures, and programs for special inspection and testingCommunicates, interprets, and keeps current on changes in observation and inspection guidelines and regulations.
