Infant - Toddler Assistant Teacher

Seton Montessori School is looking for experienced, creative, and caring classroom assistants for our Infant‑Toddler classrooms (ages 2 months to 3 years). Seton Montessori School is located on a beautiful six‑acre campus in the western suburbs of Chicago. Our facilities provide the best indoor and outdoor spaces for children to learn and grow. Founded in 1965, we're an Accredited AMS School and a Lab School for the Seton Montessori Institute, one of the largest Montessori teacher education programs in North America. Our staff uses the latest and most progressive teaching methods in an authentic Montessori classroom, committed to the highest quality implementation of Montessori pedagogy. Required Qualifications High School Diploma: Required. Undergraduate coursework in early childhood and previous related experience preferred. Commitment: To learning about Montessori philosophy and education. Physical Ability: Must be able to lift children up to 40 pounds. Collaboration: Ability to work with a dynamic teaching team. Professional Development: Commitment to continued growth. Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States. We provide First Aid and CPR training to all staff, along with Montessori Paraprofessional training. Responsibilities Create and support a welcoming and inclusive culture. Safeguard the academic integrity of the classroom, following Montessori pedagogy and AMS accreditation standards. Execute educational and administrative policies. Ensure a complete, beautiful, and age‑appropriate Montessori learning environment. Monitor the general safety of children. Collaborate actively with colleagues. Complete and maintain all Illinois DCFS requirements and background checks. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in any subject. Prior experience in a Montessori setting.
