CNC Machinist

Overview: CNC Machinist:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in machining and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. The Machinist will work under the guidance of experienced machinists, utilizing various tools and equipment to produce high-quality components.

Responsibilities: CNC Machinist:

• Operate hand tools and power tools to perform machining tasks.
• Assist in the setup and operation of CNC machines, including lathe operations.
• Utilize coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality control and inspection of parts.
• Follow lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Participate in assembly processes as needed, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
• Learn and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) standards in machining tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.• Assist in setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and other machine tools
• Learn to read technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files
• Perform part inspections using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Support machine maintenance and shop organization
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards
• Participate in structured on-the-job training

Experience: CNC Machinist:

• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools is preferred.
• Basic understanding of machining processes and techniques.
• Exposure to CAM programming is a plus but not required.
• Mechanical knowledge or experience in a manufacturing setting is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various machining tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

Requirements: CNC Machinist:

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong interest in machining, manufacturing, or mechanical work
• Good math skills and mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50-pounds and stand for extended periods
• Vocational or technical training is a plus but not required
