Tech - X-ray/Rad Tech

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide diagnostic radiology services using X-ray equipment to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain accurate imaging records.

Responsibilities:

Operate X-ray and radiologic equipment to capture accurate images for diagnostic purposes.
Adhere to all safety guidelines, including radiation safety protocols, to protect patients and staff.
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
Document patient information and imaging details accurately in electronic health records.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to meet departmental needs and ensure quality care.

Qualifications:

Valid NY state license as an X-ray/Radiologic Technologist.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in orthopedic radiography.
ARRT certification in radiography.
BLS certification required.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills and flexibility to float to different locations and units.
