This role focuses on hands-on solution design and implementation, with deep expertise in Adobe Experience Cloud and enterprise design systems.The architect partners with product, UX, and engineering teams to create high-quality, reusable, and performant solutions that enable consistent and engaging digital experiences.This role exists to enable the delivery of modern, scalable, and consistent digital experiences by bridging business needs, user experience design, and technical execution. The Senior IT Architect ensures that applications and platforms—particularly within the Adobe ecosystem are designed for reusability, performance, and long-term sustainability, while accelerating delivery through design systems and modular architecture.What You'll Work On:Design end-to-end application and solution architectures aligned with business and digital experience needsLead solution architecture and implementation of Adobe Experience Cloud platforms (AEM required)Define and implement design systems architecture, including reusable UI components, design tokens, and front-end frameworksArchitect component-based and headless solutions, integrating AEM with modern front-end technologies (e.g., React)Establish scalable integration patterns using APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecturesCollaborate closely with product, UX, and engineering teams to deliver solutions from concept through implementationProvide technical leadership and hands-on guidance to development teams, including architecture reviews and mentoringEnsure solutions meet requirements for performance, scalability, security, and reliabilityDrive adoption of modern development practices, including cloud-native design and DevOps principlesDefine end-to-end architecture for digital marketing platformsDesign scalable, secure, and high-performing Martech ecosystemsCreate reference architectures and integration patternsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRINGMinimum Qualifications10+ years of IT experience with a strong focus on application/solution architectureProven experience with Adobe Experience Cloud (AEM required; Analytics, Target, Campaign preferred)Strong expertise in design systems and component-based architectureHands-on experience with AEM (including AEM as a Cloud Service)Hands-on experience with digital marketing platforms (Martech stack strategy), Data & customer 360, Integrations & APIsSolid experience with API design, microservices, and integration architecturesKnowledge of modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or similar)Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across engineering, UX, and business teamsExcellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud platforms Adobe certifications (AEM, Experience Cloud)Experience with headless CMS and composable architectures.Familiarity with design system tools (e.g., Storybook)Integration experience with platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, or VeevaExperience in Agile and DevOps environmentsMISC:This is anonsite role based in IL This isNOTa remote role/opportunity.Apply NowLearn more about our health and wellness benefits, which provide the security to help you and your family live full lives: Follow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
