Key Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in this state
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care preferred
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) and QAPI programs
• Strong understanding of CMS regulations and state survey processes
• Experience with clinical audits, data tracking, and performance improvement initiatives
• Strong analytical and leadership skills

Position Summary

The RN Quality Assurance Nurse is responsible for leading and overseeing the facility’s Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program . This role focuses on regulatory compliance, clinical performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives to promote resident safety and quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the facility’s QAPI program
• Monitor, track, and trend clinical quality indicators (falls, pressure injuries, infections, rehospitalizations, etc.)
• Conduct routine chart audits and compliance reviews
• Analyze data and develop corrective action plans
• Prepare for and participate in state and federal surveys
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards
• Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to drive performance improvement
• Provide education and coaching to clinical staff on quality initiatives
