Quality Supervisor

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and maintaining compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory programs within the facility. This position ensures adherence to GMP, SQF, HACCP, and company quality standards while promoting a culture of food safety throughout the operation.

• Monitor daily plant operations to ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements.
• Promote and enforce quality standards while serving as a role model for food safety and quality initiatives.
• Verify that product sampling is completed accurately and documented according to company procedures and customer expectations.
• Support and collaborate with the SQF Practitioner to maintain compliance with SQF programs and facility procedures.
• Verify the effectiveness of Critical Control Points (CCPs) and Preventive Controls and ensure they are functioning as intended.
• Apply HACCP and SQF principles throughout manufacturing operations and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain and update SQF documentation, procedures, records, and related quality management systems.
• Audit production records and logs for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established SOPs.
• Review batch documentation, lot tracking records, and finished goods paperwork to ensure product traceability and accuracy.
• Verify proper product labeling and confirm finished goods are released appropriately for shipment.
• Ensure proper handling and identification of allergen, organic, and kosher products in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements.
• Review work orders and production documentation to ensure products meet quality and shipping specifications before release.

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in food quality, food safety, or manufacturing within a food processing environment.
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, and food safety regulations.
• Relevant certifications in Food Safety, HACCP, SQF, or GMP practices are highly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, documentation, and regulatory compliance skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, IA.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Des Moines,IA.
