The Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC) is a 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, private, non-profit corporation. The organization's mission and strategic focus is to strengthen the core assets of downtown by revitalizing and connecting the Central Business District and Over-the-Rhine (OTR). 3CDC works in close collaboration with the Cincinnati corporate community and City of Cincinnati to carry out its mission. With an annual operating budget of $20 million, the organization has a team of approximately 170 full-time staff and 180 part-time staff engaged in real estate development, real estate management, civic space management and programming and business district management.

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the overall appearance of the facility while performing maintenance tasks as needed. This role is essential in ensuring a hygienic and organized environment, supporting both the operational needs and overall safety of the premises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and manage waste disposal in accordance with recycling guidelines.
• Monitor and restock cleaning and restroom supplies as necessary.
• Conduct light maintenance tasks, including:
• Painting and touch-ups to maintain a fresh appearance.
• Minor repairs and maintenance, such as fixing squeaky doors or replacing light fixtures or fixing minor plumbing issues
• Assisting with other light maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Report any significant maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• General building or facility maintenance experience
• Have a thorough understanding of cleaning and light maintenance.
• Ability to perform general repairs, such as plumbing, mechanical and cleaning maintenance.
• Desire a minimum of six months' worth of experience in a related field.
• Proven customer service skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate with management
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must be willing to work second shift with one weekend day.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
• Personable, positive, and enthusiastic attitude with capability to deal effectively with people (both internal and external)
• Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
• Excellent organizational skills, work habits, and consistent follow-through.
• Must be able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality.

Skills or Specialized Knowledge: include any certificates or job-specific training.

Physical and Mental Demands: (ability to lift 50 lbs, ability to be mobile for up to 8 hours. Able to speak and hear employees on the phone or in person. Body motor skills enough to enable employee to move around the office and work environment.)
