Job Details Location: Columbus, OH 43213 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: Graduate Degree Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $72,000.00 Job Category: Nonprofit - Social Services Summary The behavioral health therapist provides comprehensive behavioral health treatment to Heart of Ohio Family Health’s patients by conducting psychosocial assessments and screeners, providing psychotherapy, and crisis intervention services. This full‑time position reports to the Behavioral Health Manager, does not supervise others, requires a business casual dress code, and operates Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Times are subject to change due to business necessity. Job Duties Conduct psychosocial assessments and behavioral health screeners. Provide behavioral health counseling to patients with mental health and co‑occurring substance use disorders. Assist with initiating appropriate referrals for patients with substance use disorders who need a higher level of care. Complete screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment. Assist other providers as needed by administering the highest quality patient care in a sensitive and respectful manner. Accurately document in appropriate medical record. Assist with triaging patients referred to behavioral health services or in need of crisis intervention services. Perform tasks of an LSW/LISW, following all policies, procedures and work rules. If licensure includes 'S', may be required to sign off on or support non‑independent licensed social workers providing counseling services. Bending: occasional bending from the waist and knees. Reaching: occasional reaching no higher than normal arm stretch. Lifting/Carry: ability to lift and carry a normal stack of documents and/or files. Pushing/Pulling: ability to push or pull a normal office environment. Dexterity: ability to handle and/or grasp, use a keyboard, calculator, and other office or medical equipment accurately and quickly. Hearing: ability to accurately hear and react to the normal tone of a person’s voice. Visual: ability to safely and accurately see and react to factors and objects in a normal setting. Speaking: ability to pronounce words clearly to be understood by another individual. Qualifications Must be Social Work Licensed in the State of Ohio (LSW/LISW). Preferred experience: Counseling or internship in mental health counseling. Required education: Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field; Master’s degree strongly preferred. Experience with integrated behavioral health preferred. Multilingual (Spanish or Haitian Creole) and/or experience working with interpreters/diverse patient populations preferred. Ability to successfully guide others to create an efficient, harmonious work environment. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations pertaining to Social Work Licenses. EMR/EHR experience required. Competency in working sensitively and respectfully with people of various cultures and social status.
