EXAMPLES OF DUTIESSchedules, assigns, oversees and reviews work of staff;Provides staff training and assistance;Conducts performance evaluations;Determines priorities and plans unit work;Establishes and maintains unit procedures;Makes recommendations on development of policies and standards;Acts as liaison with other operating units, agencies and outside officials regarding unit policies and procedures;Reviews and monitors the services provided by private providers to ensure terms of the contract are satisfied;Coordinates the review of individual service changes through the Planning and Resource Allocation Team (PRAT) or Utilization Resource Review (URR);Reviews contracts to ensure quality of services are provided;Provides direction to private providers on contract interpretation related to programmatic, fiscal and quality concerns;Reviews, analyzes, monitors and ensures private provider Plans of Correction are achieved;Conducts and monitors the annual review process;Prepares reports and correspondence;May conduct on site visits to assure private providers are in compliance with Department standards;Performs related duties as required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITYConsiderable knowledge of modern methods of care, program design, treatment and education of individuals with an intellectual disability living in various community settings;resource monitoring and evaluation;relevant agency policies and procedures;state and federal laws, statutes and regulations;Knowledge of business finance and accounting procedures;Considerable interpersonal skills;oral and written communication skills;Considerable ability to analyze and critique private agency's, organization's and individual practitioner's recordkeeping and financial statements;Ability to utilize computer software;Supervisory ability.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE Seven (7) years of professional experience in a human services setting providing services and supports to individuals with an intellectual disability. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCETwo (2) years of the General Experience must have been conducting fiscal analysis and oversight of individual budgets/plans.NOTE: For state employees this experience is interpreted at the level of a Developmental Services Resource Management Specialist.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equaling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
