Counter Server

WINNER is a Brooklyn-based hospitality group built around great food, excellent coffee and bread, genuine hospitality, and welcoming neighborhood spaces. From our original bakery to our butcher shop, to WINNER in the Park and our growing collection of restaurants and retail locations - including our newest location at WINNER Downtown Brooklyn - we care deeply about quality, community, and taking care of our guests and our team.

We’re looking for a warm, energetic, and reliable Counter Server to join our front-of-house team at our Downtown Brooklyn location. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys connecting with guests, and wants to be part of an exciting new neighborhood destination.

Our Counter Servers are an important part of the WINNER experience. You’ll help guests navigate our menu, bakery, prepared foods, beverages, and retail offerings while making sure orders are accurate, beautifully presented, and delivered with genuine hospitality.

This is an active, fast-paced role that combines guest service, order fulfillment, bagging, expediting, and maintaining a clean and organized service environment.

You’ll work closely with our kitchen, bakery, barista, and management teams to keep service moving smoothly from morning through lunch.

• Welcoming guests and providing warm, genuine hospitality
• Taking orders and accurately operating our POS system
• Answering questions about our food, bread, pastries, beverages, and retail products
• Helping guests make recommendations and selections
• Communicating orders and special requests clearly to the appropriate production teams
• Monitoring orders and ensuring they are complete and accurate
• Bagging and preparing orders for guest pickup
• Expediting orders and coordinating with the kitchen and bakery to ensure orders are complete, accurate, and moving efficiently
• Checking orders for accuracy before handing them to guests
• Communicating delays, substitutions, or unavailable products to guests and management
• Maintaining an organized and efficient pickup and service area
• Keeping counters, retail displays, and guest areas clean, organized, and well stocked
• Restocking service supplies and communicating inventory needs
• Handling payments accurately and following cash-handling procedures
• Supporting a smooth and efficient lunch service
• Working closely with the entire front- and back-of-house team to keep service running smoothly
• Communicating guest feedback, product issues, and operational concerns to management
• Jumping in wherever needed to support the team and the guest experience

• Proud of their work and attentive to the details that make a guest experience great

Previous restaurant, café, bakery, retail, or counter-service experience is helpful, but a great attitude, strong work ethic, and genuine interest in hospitality matter most.

Typical start times: 6:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Schedule runs through lunch service

This role is designed for someone who enjoys early mornings and daytime service.
Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
