Housekeeping Inspector

Housekeeping Inspector As a Housekeeping Inspector, you will oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet HVMG's cleanliness and quality standards. You'll train, support, and inspect the work of room attendants and housepersons while coordinating with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction. This position reports to the Executive Housekeeper.

- You will be a leader of our hotel's housekeeping team, ensuring guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Your daily tasks will include supervising housekeeping staff, inspecting rooms, and managing inventory and supplies.
- You will report to the Executive Housekeeper or Director of Rooms.
- A career as a housekeeping Inspector can lead to opportunities in various management roles within the hospitality industry, such as executive housekeeper, director of rooms, or even a general management position.
- Room Inspection & Quality Control
- Inspect guest rooms after housekeepers finish to ensure they meet Hilton brand cleanliness standards.
- Verify linens, amenities, appliances, and room setup are correct and guestready.
- Document inspection results and ensure deficiencies are corrected before releasing rooms.
- Supervision & Team Support
- Oversee and support room attendants; provide coaching and corrective guidance.
- Assist with training new housekeeping staff on cleaning standards and procedures.
- Coordinate with the housekeeping supervisor or GM to maintain daily workflow.
- Communication & Reporting
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or room damage to engineering or management.
- Communicate room status updates to the front desk to ensure timely checkins.
- Maintain inspection logs and documentation as required.
- Guest Interaction
- Greet guests professionally when encountered in hallways or during inspections.
- Respond to guest requests or concerns when appropriate.
- Professional Expectations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot cleanliness or setup issues.
- Ability to manage, motivate, and correct housekeeping staff.
- Clear communication skills
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk, climb stairs, and inspect multiple rooms per shift.
- Comfortable with occasional lifting or assisting housekeepers if needed.
- Experience Requirements
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience is required (bonus if Hilton branded)
- A combination of education and experience
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Sufficient education and/or literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as required-with or without reasonable accommodations
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed
