The After School Program Coordinator is responsible for managing and enhancing engaging activities tailored for elementary school children. Working within a small team, this role ensures smooth program operations, effective communication with parents, and the organization of quarterly events and outings, fostering a safe and enriching environment for youth development.

 

Responsibilities

• Plan and develop age-appropriate after school programs for elementary students
• Coordinate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents regarding program details and student progress
• Collaborate with a small team of staff to support program goals and events
• Organize quarterly events and outings to enrich student experiences

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in program coordination
• Understanding of child development principles
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

ALSO HIRING: Front Desk Coordinator (part-time, $16-$20/hr, paid training)

What you'll do:

- Greet students and parents, answer the phone, and reply to messages and inquiries

- Book free trial classes and walk new families through their first visit

- Enroll new members and take payments in our member software (GymDesk)

- Follow up with new leads and students who've missed class, by phone, text, and email

- Keep the lobby clean and welcoming, and help open or close the school

- Support instructors on busy class nights and at events like belt testing

What we're looking for:

- Warm, upbeat, and comfortable talking with parents and kids

- Reliable and organized, and follows through on every follow-up

- Comfortable with computers and phones; front desk, retail, or customer service experience is a plus

- Bilingual is a big plus

- Available weekday afternoons and evenings (2–8pm), with some Saturdays (11am–4pm)

- No martial arts experience needed. We'll train you.

- Must pass a background check and get CPR certified
