Position Summary Odyssey has an exciting new opportunity providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) supporting the US Space Force mission to defend National Security Interests in Space as a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Operations and Combat Readiness Analyst supporting Mission Delta 2 (MD2), S3/7/9 Directorate. SDA is foundational to Protecting and Defending US Space Systems that provide space-based Intelligence, Early Warning, Communications, and Global Positioning services that sustain our way of life, support our national economy, and act as force multipliers in times of conflict. Odyssey is looking for high-performing, passionate people ready to make a difference by joining our existing team of dedicated professionals in the SDA workforce!Combat Forces Command (CFC) Mission Delta 2 (MD2) leads SDA operations with current SDA programs of record, networks, and Command and Control (C2) data exploitation and dissemination systems and is responsible for integration of SDA sensor data, accredited Space Surveillance Network (SSN) or non-traditional sources, for USSPACECOM missions while sustaining existing various sensor systems including Eglin Radar, Space Fence, C-Band Radar, Australia, the Ground-Based Electro-Optical Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS) system, and the Space Surveillance Telescope (SST). Additionally, MD2 plays a critical role monitoring, directing, and supporting U.S. and Allied Partners’ dedicated space-based, collateral and contributing ground-based sensors, and commercial sensors.Odyssey provides A&AS support to the Government across the core mission areas, with this position focused specifically on Current Operations (S3) and Combat Readiness, and Weapons & Tactics (S7). These tasks are executed laterally with CFC, USSPACECOM, Space Systems Command, STARCOM, development contractors, subordinate operating squadrons, and SDA stakeholders. Responsibilities An A&AS contractor is a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to the Government. As an SDA Operations and Combat Readiness Analyst, you will join the MD2 S3/7 team and perform a wide range of operational planning support, training readiness coordination, tactical exercises, and weapons and tactics development. You will provide technical and managerial direction for problem definition, tactical analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems and operational processes in the space operations disciplines. Duties include, but are not limited to:Current Operations Support (S3)Assist Government leads in directing and coordinating current operational activities to advance the Space Domain Awareness (SDA) mission.Compile and draft executive briefs to inform the MD2 Commander (MD2/CC) of current operational capabilities and advise on strategic ways-forward to mitigate potential mission shortfalls.Provide technical and analytical oversight supporting MD2 operational procedures, including Crew Information Files (CIFs), Technical Orders (TOs), and operational checklists.Identify and document current technical and operational impediments to the mission, providing timely analytical reports to MD2 leadership.Act as an advisory focal point for cross-system and cross-mission integration, guidance, and oversight, to include tactical mission planning and mission execution.Maintain comprehensive situational awareness of weapon system outages, assess their operational impact, and draft/coordinate briefings for higher headquarters (HHQ), including the MD2 Operations and Intelligence weekly update briefings.Support government personnel attending Trial Period Entrance/Exit and Operational Acceptance (OA) meetings; analyze performance criteria and prepare formal recommendations for concurrence or non-concurrence.Provide administrative and analytical support to manage operational unit Operations Review Boards (ORBs) and maintain formal, accurate ORB documentation.Assist in the oversight, data compilation, and administration of the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) for MD2.Provide operational planning support for Combatant Command (CCMD) plan and concept of operations (CONOP) development.Combat Readiness, Weapons & Tactics Support (S7)Support MD2 and subordinate units during the implementation and transition to the Space Force Generation (SPAFORGEN) model.Assist the Government in executing Space Force Manual (SFMAN) 10-260 and supplemental Combat Forces Command (CFC) tactics guidance.Support the annual development, coordination, and Provide advisory and coordination support for the oversight of MD2’s Ready Spacecrew Program (RSP) to ensure operator proficiency and mission readiness.Systematically collect, evaluate, and package operational readiness data to provide unit commanders with actionable metrics on training effectiveness.Monitor compliance across all subordinate units with Air Force Instructions/Space Force Instructions (specifically SFI/AFI 13-602 Volumes 1 & 2) and related training guidelines.Assist in the oversight of all unit-level instructor and evaluator functions within MD2, including Initial Qualification Course (IQC) and Evaluation Qualification Course (EQC) tracks.Support the USSF Exercise Coordination Team to enable seamless MD2 integration.Support tactical units in the development, testing, validation, and dissemination of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).Assist in preparing MD2 personnel for, and coordinate active participation in, the annual Weapons and Tactics (WEPTAC) Conferences.Provide tracking and coordination support publication of the MD2 Threat Priority List (TPL) (typically targeted for January).Facilitate the lifecycle development, drafting, and coordination of Tactics Improvement Proposals (TIPs) (typically occurring from January through June).Provide organizational, technical, and administrative support for the planning, coordination, and execution of the annual MD2 Tactics Review Board (typically held in July).Provide technical writing, editing, and coordination support for annual updates and formal publications of the Space Force Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures 3-1 (SFTTP 3-1) manual and Tactics Bulletins (TACBULs) (typically finalized in December).GeneralTravel to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon government directionOther duties as required/requested by the Government and within scope of the S3 contract Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a US citizenMinimum Required Qualifications:Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.Education: Bachelor's degree minimum, any discipline, science or arts.Years of Experience: 3 or more years of relevant experience operating, training, planning tactics, or in direct support of any operational system associated with USSPACECOM/USSF.Specialized Experience: An additional 3 or more years of experience in space operations, tactical training development (S7), or current operations (S3) associated with space- or ground-based SDA sensor systems. Preferred Qualifications:Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance, eligible for Special Access Programs (SAP).Other Qualifications:Experience as an A&AS support contractor in USSF structures.Experience executing SFMAN 10-260 or developing tactics under Combat Forces Command (CFC) guidance.Experience with the USSF Ready Spacecrew Program (RSP) or Space Force Generation (SPAFORGEN) framework.Experience implementing or managing compliance for AFI/SFI 13-602 Volumes 1 & 2.Graduate of or familiarity with the USAF/USSF Weapons School, Tactics Review Boards, and WEPTAC processes.Experience with defense readiness databases such as the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS).Familiarity with SDA sensors, space- or ground-based (e.g., GEODSS, SST, Space Fence, Eglin Radar).Experience with C2 systems (e.g., Caveon, JMS, Atlas) and sensor data integration.Additional Information:Location: Work is performed at 775 Loring Ave, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO with work and meetings intermittently performed at Schriever Space Force Base and Prime Contractor location.Travel: Up to 20% to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon Government direction.Hybrid: Opportunity to telework 1-2 days per week at the discretion of the Government.#LI-CV1 Company Overview Odyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
